Micro Consulting
There’s a particular kind of stuck that doesn’t respond well to more information.
You already know a lot about marketing. You’ve read the articles, taken the workshops, maybe even hired a strategist at some point. You have ideas—more ideas than you can realistically execute—and at least a vague sense of what should be working.
And yet, when it comes time to actually move something forward, everything seems to stall out.
You’re not lazy. And it doesn’t happen because you don’t care.
It happens because the gap between knowing and doing is wider than it looks from the outside.
I’ve seen this play out over and over again, both in my own work and with clients who came to me for strategy sessions that, in hindsight, were never going to solve the real problem. They walked away with a plan they loved… and then never used it.
The plan wasn’t wrong. There just wasn’t anyone there to help them turn it into something real.
What this is (and what it isn’t)
Micro consulting is not a one-time session, and it’s not just strategy.
You don’t need another document outlining what you could do. (You probably already have a few of those gathering dust.)
It’s not a full marketing direction engagement, where I step in and take ownership of your marketing over time.
It sits somewhere in between.
This is ongoing, high-touch support where we focus on one thing at a time — one idea, one project, one piece of your marketing that needs to move — and we actually move it forward.
Together.
What it looks like in practice
We start with a kickoff call so I can understand your business, your goals, and where things are getting stuck.
From there, we stay in touch through whatever communication channel works best for you — Slack, Voxer, email, text, etc. — and I check in at least weekly to see what progress you’ve made and what’s getting in the way.
Sometimes that looks like helping you make a decision you’ve been circling for weeks. Sometimes it’s reviewing a piece of content and giving you clear, actionable feedback. Sometimes it’s getting on a quick call and working side by side so you can actually do the thing.
And sometimes it’s as simple as a well-timed nudge when something important is starting to stall.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s momentum.
What we actually do together
Most of the work looks deceptively simple from the outside.
- We figure out what matters right now, which is often harder than it sounds when everything feels important.
- We make decisions about what to prioritize and what to set aside.
- We take something that has been living in your head (or in a Google doc somewhere, or on a sticky note) and start turning it into something concrete.
And then we stay with it long enough to see movement.
The goal is not a perfect system or a fully built-out funnel.
The goal is real progress, week by week. And that matters.
Who this is for
This is for the business owner who is somewhere in between.
You’re not at the very beginning anymore, but you’re also not ready to bring on a fractional marketing director.
You’ve likely tried to solve this problem with strategy, information, or one-off support, and you’ve seen how quickly that can stall out without ongoing direction.
You might be neurodivergent and have tried every system, every planner, every spreadsheet known to man (with varying degrees of success).
You don’t need someone to take over everything.
You need someone who can step in, think with you, and help you actually follow through. It’s directed at someone who needs an accountability buddy who understands marketing.
Who this is not for
This isn’t for someone looking for a template or a quick fix that will magically solve everything without any real thinking behind it.
And it’s not for someone who wants to fully hand off their marketing and step away from the process entirely. (If that’s what you need, marketing direction is more for you.)
Investment
Micro consulting is $500/month, flat rate.
You can stay as long as you need the support, and leave when you don’t.
We put some boundaries in place to prevent scope creep, but the goal is for you to have support when and where you need it to get your marketing tasks done.
If you’re feeling stuck
If you’re reading this and recognizing yourself in it, you don’t need to wait until everything is perfectly lined up to get support.
If you’ve been circling this problem for a while — knowing what your marketing should be doing, but not quite getting there — this is probably the right place to start.
You don’t need to have it all figured out before you apply. Most people who come to me for micro-consulting are exactly where you are: clear enough on the direction, stuck on the doing.
We can start with what’s in front of you right now and get it moving.
